From the Magazine to the Museum - Anthology of Real Art works
The Civic Museum of Maccagno reopens with a large collective exhibition

The Parisi Valle Civic Museum reopens with a major event: "From the Magazine to the Museum - Anthology of Real Art works" is the title of the collective exhibit hosted in our museum from May 8 to July 11, 2021. It will be will be inaugurated on Saturday 8 May, at 5.30 pm.
This important exhibition, which is curated by Clara Castaldo and Franco Crugnola, stems from the Art Magazine founded by Peter Hide 311065 (Franco Crugnola).
The works on display are by Fabrizio Molinario, Gino Gini, Betty Zola, Isabella Rigamonti, Max Marra, Francesco De Molfetta, Caterina Tosoni, Peter Hide 311065, Renzo Nucara, Carla Volpati, Azelio Corni, Gianni Cella, Nataly Maier, Jonathan Guaitamacchi, Vittorio Valente, Ruggero Maggi, Alfredo Rapetti Mogol, Dario Brevi, Antonio Pedretti, Enrico Manera, Olinsky.
"Never have we been more thrilled to open the doors of our museum," explain the Mayor of Maccagno Fabio Passera and the Councilor for Culture Elisabetta Cornolò. "In spite of any difficulty, we've always worked together to give space and attention to cultural and recreational activities, which we think are fundamental. This exhibit is intended as a glimmer of light in the darkness of this long pandemic. The title itself is a tribute to creativity and experiments that lead to new solutions. We would like this exhibition to be the symbol of a fresh start, and we will keep focusing on culture and the places where it can be enjoyed, because we consider them vital for our community and for everybody else".

Clara Castaldo adds, "Paris, London, New York, Berlin are among the many places in the world of international contemporary collectors that have hosted most of the artists we present today. There are some kinds of art where the performative aspect plays a central role, such as Art Brut or outsider art, Visual Poetry, Action Painting, Arte Povera, Transavantgarde, abstract painting... They are just some of the expressive choices that can be found in these artists' works in constant creative contamination, where colors become carriers of emotions. In these works, sculpture and painting are performed like a musical score...
Finally, we can discover the integration of materials of strong communicative intensity into many of these important drawings and paintings.
Keeping our museum active in these days requires a big effort and a lot of energy, but it's a sign of esteem and trust in our institutions, as well as in our audience and our collaborators.
A big thank you goes to Franco Crugnola who has been following, collaborating and trusting in our Museum for years. The message that we want to give with this important collective exhibition is to keep working for a new future and a new start, in spite of everything,” explains Clara Castaldo.

“For us, being here today is a great challenge. Continuing to work with great care and attention to detail is the best way to tell you and tell ourselves that we love art and the places where it is shared and protected. In this exhibition visitors will find a comprehensive and expanded vision of the Real Art project and will be able to understand the relationship between the works presented in the magazine and the works displayed in the museum halls.
In this splendid building on the lake we will also display some pages from each issue: 67 artists have been part of the project in the five editions of Real Art created to date and donated their works to charities," explains Franco Crugnola.
